Council last night voted to financially support Dubbo City Development Corporation (DCDC) for a six months interim period; however a rescission motion was lodged which now means the issue remains unresolved pending Council’s determination in respect of the rescission motion.
Dubbo Mayor Allan Smith says Council will now meet at 5.30pm, 6 November to vote on the rescission motion.
If the motion is defeated and DCDC is contracted for six months, during the contract term Council will consider its future directions in respect of the delivery of the economic development program.
