The Dubbo Showground – operating since 1876 - is one of Dubbo’s treasured facilities, owned and operated by Dubbo City Council.
The Showground is located on the corner of Fitzroy and Wingewarra streets, Dubbo.
While it is home to the annual Dubbo Show each May, it is also a major multi-use facility.
The Dubbo Showground is a popular attraction for long-term user groups, hosting a wide range of activities including community events, professional sports, to state and national livestock and equestrian events.
Showground facilities
Dubbo Showground houses a range of sheds, day horse stalls, stabling facilities, a trotting track, main arena and indoor dressage arena.
It also consists of the following major assets:

| Dubbo Expo Centre | Developed in 1988, this facility caters for up to 200 people and includes a bar, media room, three small offices, kitchen, hall area, amenities, store room and agents’ offices. |
| Expo Pavilion | This undercover venue comprises some 2500m² of undercover space. |
| Ewen McInnes | Pavilion The newest asset to Dubbo Showground, this $1-million venue is attracting major livestock events. It houses a wash bay for 10 animals and covers an area of some 5500m². |
| Centenary Pavilion | Comprising an area of 1063m², this Pavilion has a concrete floor and is accessed by a series of sliding doors. |
| Ray Clarke Pavilion | With an area of 1093m² this clear span shed has a bitumen sealed floor with access via roller doors and sliding doors. |
| Cattle Pavilion | Lighting is fluorescent and heavy duty steel gates are located at both ends of the pavilion. |
| Facilities | There are six toilet blocks located throughout the Showground. |
| Portable facilities | The Showground has 250 recently acquired horse stable modules for the display of 200 stud cattle, portable pens for the hold of unled cattle and aluminium seating for some 500 people. |

Dubbo Show Society
Dubbo Showground is home to Dubbo Show Society with the entrance to its office from from Fitzroy Street. The Society conducts regular market days on the second Sunday of each month at the Showground, with the Dubbo Show held annually in May.

Orana Equestrain Club
Orana Equestrian Club Inc holds dressage training days on the first Sunday of each month from Febuary to November at the OEC Ground, Dubbo Showground with the exception of March and October. In March the OEC holds a one day official competition and in October it host it’s annual two day championship event, attracting some of Australia’s top dressage riders to Dubbo. The OEC has two dressage arenas – a beautiful covered full-sized sand dressage arena and a watered turf arena.
