Photo competition opens in lead up to Dubbo Pets Month 2012
More than $1000 in prizes are up for grabs in a photo competition that opens today in the lead up to Dubbo Pets Month 2012.
Dubbo City Council and participating local businesses will host the third Dubbo Pets Month during August.
Manager Environmental Control Debbie Archer said it was a fantastic initiative that aimed to encourage people to love their pets and look after them through proper care and attention.
"Throughout Dubbo Pets Month 2012, Council will provide information on everything from microchipping, registration and desexing to seeking advice and treatment for companion animals," Ms Archer said. "There is a lot more to pet ownership than meets the eye, so we would like to encourage people who have pets to really think about what they’re doing to ensure the best life for their faithful friend."
