Options presented for shade protection at Skate Park
Youth effort shows they’re ‘wheelie’ proud of Dubbo Skate Park
Rain, hail or shine these youths were gung ho on making sure the Dubbo Skate Park was in tip-top shape for today’s visit from Newton’s Nation.
Some of these boys take their skating very seriously, for others it’s more about having fun and they are at the Skate Park “nearly every day”, so Council’s Youth Development Officer Jason Yelverton was not surprised when they offered him a helping hand yesterday.
“I came down to sweep the grass around the edges and just make sure the Skate Park was looking great for Newton’s Nation when these boys offered to pick up a broom,” Mr Yelverton said.
“They spend a lot of time down here and so they take great pride in the Skate Park, which is plain to see with so many hands on deck.”
Newton’s Nation, the travelling tour of BMX and scooter professionals, will be at the Dubbo Skate Park today from 10am to 2pm. Read More...
