COUNCIL WELCOMES ASX200 CEO SERIES TO DUBBO
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC), Dubbo Business Chamber, Qantas and Taronga Western Plains Zoo are partnering together to bring the Dubbo ASX200 CEO Series to the region.
The series will see ASX200 listed CEOs brought to Dubbo to speak to local businesses about their companies, business trends and future prospects.
Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Mathew Dickerson said he was excited to have the series back in Dubbo after a seven-year hiatus.
“Council takes great pride in our community and we are focused on growing the businesses in our Region to benefit our residents into the future.
“By partnering with the Dubbo Business Chamber, Taronga Western Plains Zoo and Qantas we are excited to be able to deliver this series to allow employers to benefit from the insights of these CEOs,” Clr Dickerson said.
“In welcoming the CEOs to the region, we also hope they are able to take the time to look around and appreciate what we have to offer,” Clr Dickerson said.
Qantas were also proud to be supporting the event.
“We’re really proud to play a key role for Australia’s regions by providing strong connections for regional businesses and residents. The Dubbo ASX200 CEO Series is a fantastic initiative for central west businesses and we’re pleased to be able to support it,” QantasLink CEO Rachel Yangoyan said.
The ASX200 CEO Series assists in the holistic approach DRC takes to growth and expansion of businesses in the region, which involves supporting the attraction of new investments via businesses, development of existing businesses, expansion of industries, workforce events and destination experiences.
The series will be held in line with the Dubbo Business Chamber’s regular breakfast events, with Chamber president Errin Williamson saying it offered something unique for Dubbo businesses to take part in.
“It’s such a great opportunity for the businesses in Dubbo and we thank everyone for assisting us in getting the CEOs to Dubbo.
Taronga Western Plains Zoo Director Steve Hinks said they were also proud to be a partner.
“Not only will this series be of huge benefit to the region’s thriving business sector, we are excited for the opportunity to showcase the very best our region has to offer as Australia’s number one family holiday destination.
“It will also continue to put Dubbo on the map as a top destination for business events, a sector of the tourism market that injected over $20 billion into the Australian economy in 2023,” Mr Hinks said.
During the past series in 2015 and 2016, an impressive list of CEOs landed in Dubbo including the CEOs of the following companies:
- Ainsworth Gaming;
- Bega Cheese Ltd;
- Bluescope Steel;
- Domino's Pizza;
