Dubbo City Youth Council

Dubbo City Youth Council is supported by Council as an avenue for youth to provide direct input on youth issues and to involve youth in local government decision-making processes.

The Youth Council meets monthly and makes comment and recommendations annually on Council’s Management Plan and Budget and the Social Plan.

The Youth Council addresses Council’s Works and Services Committee half-yearly.

Council provides the Youth Council with an annual budget of $2000.

Youth Council membership

The Youth Council consists of 25 young people aged between 12 and 25. There are representatives from each high school, TAFE, Charles Sturt University and the local community.
