Community Services Fund
Council invited community organisations, to apply for an annual donation to help deliver services to the community, to apply for a share in the $155,000 Community Services Fund for 2018/19.
The funds have been allocated under Section 356 of the Local Government Act 1993, with $625,636 in discretionary donations to be donated over four years.
Community groups that were previously funded by the former Dubbo City and Wellington Council’s were required to apply again through a public process available to the wider community.
To be successful for funding, community organisations projects were required to meet the following criteria:
- Deliver social, cultural or environmental benefits to the communities of the Local Government Area;
- Address an identified community priority;
- Demonstrate how the funding shall enable the community based organisation to deliver a service to the community; and
- The organisation must demonstrate the capacity to manage funds and deliver the project.
