Wellington Pound

The Pound at Wellington is managed by Dubbo Regional Council. The pound is provided as a service to residents in Wellington and surrounding areas for lost and stray cats and dogs.

The pound keeps dogs and cats protected until their owners can be found, and endeavours to re-home others .  Fees apply for the release of impounded animals and all animals must be registered before their release.

Location and Opening Hours

The Wellington Pound is located at the rear of the Wellington Works Depot on Amaroo Drive.

The Pound is not manned on a continuous basis.  If access is required please call the Ranger on 02 6801 4000 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday to Saturday
