Dubbo Sustainable City Expo and Science Festival


Dubbo Regional Council is the organiser of the Dubbo Sustainable City Expo & Science Festival to be held on Saturday 24 August 2019 from 10am until 2pm at the Western Plains Cultural Centre.

The fourteenth (14th) annual Expo & Science Festival aims to provide information to the Dubbo and Wellington communities about how to live and work more sustainably; promote the wonders of science; and highlight how science can help to achieve a sustainable future.

Background Information

Starting as an information night in 2006 attracting 13 exhibitors and some 200 people, this Council initiative has grown into the Sustainable City Expo and Science Festival, an all-day event. The 2018 event was held in late August and showcased over 30 exhibitors, drawing a crowd of over 600 people to the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre.

AuRevoir Vintage Van, Bunnings, Chris Dalitz, Michael Longhurst, Crave Natural, Charles Sturt University (CSU),  Design Tribe Dubbo (Alexander Murray), Dubbo Community Garden,  Dubbo Community Men's Shed, Dubbo Field Nats, Dubbo Regional Council, Farmer Brown's Pastured Eggs, Fizzics Education, JME Electrical and Solar, Lighting and Living, Macquarie Regional Library, Melting Point Gelato, Narellan Pool Western Plains, NSW Office of Environment and Heritage, Outscape, Peter Duggan, Redfern Power Solutions, Regional Bank Australia, Siding Spring Observatory, Skylight World, Solahart Central West, SolaMax, Taronga Conservation Society Australia, Wambangalang Environmental Education Centre, Wellington Caves, WIRES Dubbo, Youth at the Zoo (YATZ), and 1st Dubbo Scouts.
