2016 Guides launched
The 2016/2017 City Development Partnership Program was launched last night at the Western Plains Cultural Centre with the unveiling of the Dubbo and Great Western Plains Visitors Guide, Dubbo Events Guide and the City’s New Resident Guide.
Council’s Promotions and Events Supervisor Lana Willetts said the three guides, underpin the Partnership Program and the City’s destination appeal activities for the next 18-months.
“This integrated approach to industry promotion has proved immensely popular with businesses as it allows them to reach consumers through a diverse range of channels and provide opportunities to collaborate on visitor, events and new resident attraction activities,” Ms Willetts said.
“The City Development Partnership Program was introduced in 2015/2016 and provides businesses with a choice of entry points to promote their business to target markets. Businesses are rewarded for supporting destination marketing and, in turn, industry investment enables the promotion of Dubbo to reach new markets and increase market penetration.”
134,000 guides showcasing the City’s visitor, event and new resident offerings will be in market up until early 2018. The guides are also available on-line.
“Council would like to thank the 140 Dubbo businesses that helped shape the Dubbo and Great Western Plains Guide, Dubbo Events Guide and the City’s New Resident Guide. Furthermore, Council would like to thank these businesses for helping to amplify the positive promotion of Dubbo.”
The Visitors Guide is being delivered to Dubbo households this week, and there is also a brand new city map which residents are welcome to pick up from the Visitors Information Centre.
