Dubbo welcomes FlyPelican flights to Canberra

Dubbo Regional Council Administrator Michael Kneipp has welcomed the news that FlyPelican will commence direct air services between Dubbo and Canberra as further proof that Dubbo is capitalising on its strategic location and investment in the Dubbo City Regional Airport.

FlyPelican announced today that flights between Canberra Airport and Dubbo will start on Monday 30th January 2017.

“The Dubbo community continues to support the growth of air services to and from Dubbo with monthly records of passenger numbers regularly being broken and consistent year on year increases,” Mr Kneipp said.

“With the addition of the FlyPelican Canberra services Dubbo will have four commercial operators flying direct to seven destinations.”

“With already strong business connections between Canberra this service supports both the business and leisure markets with only a one hour flight making Dubbo all the more accessible than travelling by road,” Mr Kneipp said.

“This is more fantastic news for Dubbo and is cementing the City’s importance as a critical regional centre for NSW,” Mr Kneipp said.

Dubbo to Canberra flights are being initially scheduled from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of a Sunday service being introduced if there is demand.
