Exhibitors sought for Dubbo Sustainable City Expo and Science Festival
Exhibitors are currently being sought for the upcoming 2016 Dubbo Sustainable City Expo and Science Festival to be held on Saturday, 27 August 2016 at the Western Plains Cultural Centre.
Council’s Sustainability Coordinator Catriona Jennings said the 11th annual Expo and Science Festival will aim to provide information to the Dubbo and Wellington communities about how to live and work more sustainably; promote the wonders of science; and highlight how science can help to achieve a sustainable future.
“There is no cost for exhibitor sites, and potential exhibitors are invited to display and/or sell products and services that are aligned to the event theme, such as assisting local residents and businesses to become more sustainable,” Ms Jennings said.
Exhibitor registrations can be made online by visiting Council’s website up until Thursday 30th June 2016.
“Last year the Expo and Science Festival featured local businesses and organisations showcasing over 30 exhibits, and drawing a crowd of over 1000 people to the Western Plains Cultural Centre,” she said.
Ms Jennings said the Expo and Science Festival had originally started as an information night in 2006 but has since evolved into an all-day event attracting a growing number of exhibitors and attendees.
“As a new element to the ever evolving Expo & Science Festival, Council would also like to assist in promoting sustainability or science related events happening across the Local Government Area in the lead up to, and surrounding, Council's annual event. Please visit Council’s Supporting Event webpage for further information on this opportunity,” Ms Jennings said.
