Great day at Geurie for Evocities MTB Series

Dubbo Regional Council Administrator Michael Kneipp has praised the organisers and competitors of the Dubbo leg of the Evocities MTB Series held at Geurie.

“A lot of work went in to creating a great event and I would like to congratulate everyone who had a part in bringing the race to Geurie,” Mr Kneipp said.

“The community really came together to create a great atmosphere for riders and spectators with the Dubbo Junior Rugby Club providing the catering  with a fundraising sausage sizzle, while a band performed live music to entertain the crowd.”

“A lot of hard work went into making sure the track was up to scratch for the competition after rain caused the event to be reschedule to November but the sun came out on Sunday and the weather was perfect.”

“The Evocities MTB Series is the richest mountain biking series in Australia and the Dubbo leg attracted 81 competitors, with strong nominations from Canberra, Sydney and Dubbo locals.”

“I was pleased to be on hand to congratulate the winners Shaun Lewis and Eliza Kwan.”
