Tenders for construction of new Playmates Cottage building to be invited

Dubbo Regional Council Director Community Services David Dwyer is pleased to announce that tenders for the construction of the new building to be leased by Playmates Cottage will open this week.

“The new building is to be constructed on Moran Drive at the northern end of the hospital and only 800 metres from the original Playmates Cottage site,” Mr Dwyer said.

“It’s important that parents with children at Playmates know that while the new building is being built Playmates will continue to operate in their current building on the hospital grounds.”

“Health infrastructure is providing construction funding and the building will become a council owned property leased to Playmates.”

“Council will advertise for tenders for the construction of the building as of 24 November 2016 and these will close on 20 December 2016.”

Director of Playmates Cottage Christine Castlehouse said it was business as usual at Playmates untilthe new site was constructed.

“We will continue to operate as normal and enrolments are now open for 2017, for more information please call us on (02) 6881 8810,” she said.
