Year in review provides snapshot of achievements for new Council

Dubbo Regional Council

Dubbo Regional Council Administrator Michael Kneipp said that the “Year in Review” report released today provides a fascinating glimpse into the achievements of the local government area (LGA) over the last financial year.

“2015/2016 was a year of growth and change for the communities of Dubbo and Wellington, and it is important to recognise the past performance of the former Councils as the new organisation takes shape,” Mr Kneipp said.

“The Year in Review document gives provides some interesting statistics and updates on major projects, events and trends across the newly formed LGA.

“As the Administrator, I would like to pay credit to the former Mayors and Councillors who led their respective councils throughout this period and the contributions they made to the achievements in the report.

“As a new organisation, Dubbo Regional Council is taking advantage of the strengths of the two previous Councils and building the organisation’s capacity to better serve the community.

“Over the remainder of the 2016/2017 financial year Council will continue to facilitate growth, improve services and invest in facilities and infrastructure that will underpin long term growth and prosperity for the region.”

Year in Review is available to view on Council’s website, dubbo.nsw.gov.au and features a video introduction from Administrator Michael Kneipp and a document to download.

Hard copies are available through both Wellington and Dubbo Macquarie Regional Branch Libraries and customer service teams.
