Community asked to pick design for Daphne Park play equipment

Dubbo Regional Council is inviting the community to help choose the new play equipment at Daphne Park from one of two possible designs.

“Council has narrowed down the selection to two options for play equipment and is now asking the community to make the final decision,” Manager Horticultural Services Ben Pilon said.

“Both designs meet Council’s requirements for play value, durability, visual appeal and accessibility so now it’s up to the community to pick their favourite.”

“A poll is being run on Dubbo Regional Council’s website from Tuesday 7 March to Friday 17 March 2017 and a paper-based poll also being run at Dubbo District Preschool asking people to choose either option A or option B.”

“Given the location the playground equipment will to cater to preschoolers but both designs include an extra piece for an older age group.”

“Installing a new playground at Daphne Park is part of Council’s scheduled playground renewals which is aimed at providing better recreational spaces for families in the community.”

The playground is expected to be replaced in June/July 2017, this will include the removal of existing playground pieces.
