Dubbo Regional Council is requesting residents report unauthorised watering at public reserves after a number of recent reports of tampering with irrigation systems.

Water users who don’t abide by Dubbo Regional Council’s level 4 water restrictions could find themselves in hot water, with Council Rangers heading out on patrol. Rangers will be patrolling Monday-Saturday, across Dubbo and Wellington, issuing fines to those flouting water restriction rules.

Previously, the event has been held in places such as Maitland, Nelson Bay, Tamworth and Sydney, with the event expected to bring millions of dollars to the local economy.
