Purvis Lane Reconstruction Project
STAGES THREE AND FOUR UPDATE
The $9.9 million Purvis Lane Reconstruction Project will improve safety and access for industry and business between Fitzroy Street and Yarrandale Road.
The Purvis Lane Reconstruction Project is delivering:
- Stormwater upgrades
- Pavement reconstruction
- Widening and strengthening of the road
- Construction of new table drains.
All major work in Stages One and Two of the project between Fitzroy Street and Mallee Road was completed in 2019. They included:
- Box culvert drainage
- Pavement reconstruction
- Major service relocations
- Reconstruction of the Tannery Road intersection
- Reconstruction of Daniel Soane intersection
- Construction of kerb and gutter, placement of asphalt
- Stormwater construction (now 90 per cent complete)
- Pavement reconstruction between Richard Ryan Place and Mallee Road intersections
Work has commenced on Stages Three and Four between Daniel Sloane Drive and Yarrandale Road that includes:
During these stages, minor works associated with Stages One and Two will also be completed.
Local traffic will be able to access businesses, under traffic control, though access will be disrupted during this period.
At least one lane of traffic will be maintained during works on a temporary bypass. This traffic diversion route will form part of the future road widening.
Further temporary traffic management will be required during work on the Purvis Lane-Yarrandale Road intersection construction in Stage Four, and these will be advised before implementation.
The Purvis Road Reconstruction Project is jointly funded by Dubbo Regional Council and the NSW Government and is due to be completed (weather permitting) in April 2020.

Funding: NSW Government $2.26 million, Federal Government $500,000
Estimated completion: July 2021

Local traffic will be able to access businesses, under traffic control, though access will be disrupted during works.
Will services be cut to any local businesses?
No services are planned to be disconnected during the project.
How will traffic be directed through the site?
Variable Message Signs will be in place to direct traffic along with traffic control on site.
