NEW SAFETY MEASURES AT ALEXANDER BELL PARK

Dubbo Regional Council is implementing additional safety measures at Alexander Bell Park, East Dubbo, to curb anti-social behaviour in the area.

New signs warning against illegal use of the park by motorcyclists have been erected and effectiveness of existing steel bollards will be strengthened early next month with creation of a barrier inside the park entry. The works will retain ease of access for pedestrians.

Regular patrols of the park precinct will also be undertaken by Council rangers.

Council has been contacted by residents with concerns for motorcycle use and other anti-social behaviour that threaten fire safety and the safety of park users.

Residents should report any illegal or anti-social behaviour in Alexander Bell Memorial Park to Council phone 6801 4000 and police.
