LH Ford Bridge will be closed to traffic for up to five nights between 8pm and 6am from 4 March to enable safe completion of the next stage of essential maintenance work.

Transport for NSW has advised the night work to connect new piers to the existing bridge span will be carried out on 4, 5, 9, 10 and 11 March. Connecting the new piers is highly technical and dates may need to be amended to complete this stage of the project.

Pedestrian walkways on the LH Ford Bridge will remain open during the night work and cyclists are encouraged to dismount or use Emilie Serisier Bridge.

The detour route, which accommodates oversize vehicles, will remain in place for vehicles 3m or wider until project completion in late March.

Transport for NSW has advised there will be some noise and lighting generated by this work but every effort will be made to minimise impact.
