Event Assistance Program 2020/2021

Events play an important role in our Region, providing a diverse range of vibrant experiences and delivering social, cultural and economic benefits to the local community.

Dubbo Regional Council is committed to supporting the development, growth and sustainability of local events. 

Council’s Event Assistance Program is open now, inviting applications under the following channels.

Prior to completing an application please refer to the Event Assistance Program (PDF 1MB). Applications will be assessed on merit against the selection criteria outlined in this document.

 

Emerging Events Fund (CLOSED)

Supporting new and emerging community events   

Round 1:

Applications closed 16 October 2020.

Round 2:           

Applications closed 15 March 2021.

Application limit: 

$2,000

Who can apply?             

- Event organisers that are not-for-profit can apply

Must be 1st or 2nd year of the event.

Community Events fund (closed)

Supporting local events that deliver social and cultural benefits 

Round 1:

Round 2:

$3,000

Event Support Program (closed)

Supporting local events with time and skills of staff of the Regional Events Branch

Round 1:         

Applications closed 16 October 2020.

Round 2:         

Applications closed 15 March 2021.

Application limit:

5 hours

Who can apply?

Event organisers that are not-for-profit

To apply:

Events can apply via the relevant funding channel above; Emerging Events Fund or Community Events Fund.

 

Destination Event Fund (CLOSED)

Supporting events that help elevate the Dubbo Region as a destination for events and assist in driving tourism and economic benefits.

Applications closed on 16 October, 2020.

Application limit:

$10,000

Events that can deliver brand, reputation and economic benefits


IMPORTANT INFORMATION
  • Only events that can proceed under the restrictions and conditions set by the NSW Government under its current Public Health Order will be granted funding. Council appreciates that these can change from time to time, therefore, Council reserves the right to award funding and hold off release of funds until such time as the event can evidence the ability to meet COVID-19 restrictions and conditions.

  • Funding is provided to assist with fees and charges associated with hire of Council venues; and event marketing.

  • All applicants will be required to submit an application online via Smarty Grants. No paper applications or applications via email or fax will be accepted.
