Stronger Communities Fund
The Stronger Communities Fund was established by the NSW Government to provide new councils created through the Fit for the Future reform program with funding to kick start the delivery of projects that improve community infrastructure and services.
Dubbo Regional Council was allocated $10 million under the Stronger Communities Fund in 2016. Council is delivering the Fund through two programs:
- Community Grant Program – allocation of up to $1 million for incorporated not-for-profit community organisations to deliver projects that build more vibrant, sustainable and inclusive local communities
- Major Projects Program – allocation of up to $9 million for Council to deliver larger scale priority infrastructure and service projects.
