COVID-19 Waste Disposal Conditions

Public Health Order

From Monday 11 October, Council will no longer require residents to book in their visit to its waste facilities. However, there will be strict safety measures in place, to ensure the safety of staff and visitors.

These measures include:

  • All customers must sign in using the COVID Safe QR code or the sign in sheet, proof of vaccination is not required
  • No cash - Eftpos only
  • Masks are mandatory while on site
  • Must practice social distancing

Rural Waste FACILITIES

Rural Transfer Stations will be reopening to the general public from Monday 11 October; however, there will be some restrictions in place to ensure the smooth and safe operation of rural waste facilities. Additional measures at these facilities include:

  • Commercial and industrial waste will not be accepted
  • Loads in excess of one cubic metre will not be accepted
  • Customers may be asked to wait at the entry of the facility if there is already someone disposing of waste and they cannot practice social distancing
  • We ask that only one member of the household attends the facilities
