Qantas Airfares On Sale and Region set to Benefit
Qantas has announced an airfare sale from Sydney to a range of regional destinations including Dubbo between December 2019 and mid-2020.
The sale includes Sydney to Dubbo from $119 one way.
“For months, I have been in the local and national media promoting the need for people in the city to visit this region, especially while we are in the grip of one of the worst droughts in recorded Australian history,” said Councillor Ben Shields, Mayor of the Dubbo Region. “More than ever before, now is a great opportunity for Sydney-siders to plan their next holiday or weekend out to the Dubbo Region, especially when Australia’s national airline gets behind an initiative like this with great airfares.”
Aside from Dubbo, Qantas’ deals from Sydney also include:
Sydney to Albury from $119 one way
Sydney to Armidale from $119 one way
Sydney to Moree from $119 one way
Sydney to Tamworth from $119 one way
Sydney to Wagga Wagga from $119 one way
“The route to Dubbo is highly profitable and it’s serviced by one of the largest and busiest regional airports in NSW,” said Clr Shields. “For Qantas to open this and other routes from Sydney by offering $119 one way fares to these drought affected regions, for the purpose of stimulating our struggling economies, is not only corporately responsible, it’s showing a real commitment to the spirit of Australia.”
Another drawcard for visitors to the region, the Dubbo Region Great Big Adventure Pass, a multi-ticket to Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Old Dubbo Gaol, the NEW Royal Flying Doctor Visitor Experience, Wellington Caves plus exclusive offers at partner businesses.
“Flying out of Sydney to visit us, I highly recommend taking advantage of Qantas’ $119 one way fares, take further advantage of Dubbo Region Great Big Adventure Pass, and take advantage of the great hospitality and tourism on offer throughout our region,” said Clr Shields.
