Treat you visiting friends and relatives to a great holiday experience

Dubbo Regional Council Visitor Information Team Leader, Julie Webster, has encouraged all residents who have friends and relatives visiting these holidays to show them the wonderful sights the region has to offer.

“Many residents have friends or family come and stay with them during the summer holidays and we are here to help you treat your visiting friends and family to a holiday experience they'll never forget,” Mrs Webster said.

“The staff at the Visitors Information Centres in Dubbo and Wellington are always happy to help and can tell you all about the wonderful attractions and events.”

“The VIC in Dubbo is open seven days a week from 9.00am to 5.00pm and the VIC in Wellington is open from 9.00am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday and 10.00am and 2.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.”

“Must see attractions include Taronga Western Plains Zoo, Old Dubbo Gaol, Dubbo Regional Botanic Gardens, Western Plains Cultural Centre and the Wellington Caves and Phosphate Mine.”

“The Zoo, Caves and Gaol also offer discounted rates for residents,” she said.

“As almost half of the visiting friends and relatives market pays to stay in accommodation there are also a range of holiday packages on offer which include accommodation as well as activities.”
