Community groups invited to apply for share of over $300,000 in Stronger Communities Grants

Dubbo Regional Council is inviting all community groups in the Council area to apply for a grant of up to $50,000 under Round 3 of the Stronger Communities Fund Community Grants Program.

Mayor of Dubbo Region Councillor Ben Shields said $317,500 is available for projects initiated by community organisations that improve services and infrastructure.

“The first rounds of funding were very successful with projects such as new lights on the Tracker Riley Cycleway, trail maintenance and new signage in Mount Arthur Reserve, a new bus for the Wellington Westhaven Group, replacement of water pipes in Euchareena, the Uniting NSW Learner Driver Program and improvements at Moxon Park in Stuart Town all funded through Stronger Community Grants,” Clr Shields said.

“This is the third and final round of the Program and provides an excellent opportunity to fund more projects that will have a lasting community benefit,” he said.

“Any not-for-profit, incorporated organisation is eligible to apply and I strongly encourage any representative with a project idea or need for funding to jump online and fill in an application,” Clr Shields said

“If you want some advice on how to apply or whether or not your project is eligible, you can contact Council’s Economic Projects and Grants Officer on 6801 4000,” he said.
