Funding offered to community organisations in Dubbo Regional Council area
Dubbo Regional Council invites eligible community organisations to take advantage of its Financial Assistance Program and apply for a share in $15,000 with applications open from Monday 8 January.
To be successful, applicants must meet criteria based on merit and benefits to the community and be based in Dubbo Regional Council Local Government area or deliver a service or activity in Local Government area.
Council’s Community and Recreation Manager Business Services Natasha Everett said previous recipients included charitable, health, animal wellbeing, and environmental organisations, as well as special interest groups.
“Council dedicates $30,000 to the Community Financial Assistance Program each year to help ease the burden of not-for-profit organisations that contribute to our community,” Mrs Everett said.
“This is the second round of funding Council has to offer for the 2017-2018 financial year.
“The funding often provides a much-needed boost to help community groups to complete a project or pay for resources that help them deliver valued activities and services to the people of Dubbo Regional Council Local Government area.
“If you are part of a not-for-profit organisation in Wellington or Dubbo we encourage you to apply.”
Applications open on Monday 8 January and close 5pm, Friday 9 March 2018.
Successful applicants will be determined by Council at its meeting on Monday, 26 March 2018.
