Following the Federal Government announcement this morning that all non-essential indoor gatherings must be limited to 100 people, effective immediately, Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) is working with ticket holders and event/ show organisers on their contingency plans.

Council will also continue working with other events outside the DRTCC that were scheduled to take place over the coming weeks and months.

Manager Regional Events Kim Hague says plans are in motion to either postpone or cancel shows, starting with the Ian Moss show which was due to be performed at the DRTCC this Friday 20 March.

“Some shows, including the Ian Moss show, will not be proceeding at the DRTCC as planned. We have confirmed with Ian Moss’ crew that the show will now be postponed, with a date yet to be confirmed. Meanwhile, the Choir of Man show which was scheduled for 29 March, has been cancelled,” Ms Hague said.

In the first instance, patrons will be contacted by show organisers or the DRTCC about their options. However, if there are patrons who have questions, our staff at the Box Office are always available.

“As this is an unprecedented time, we are fielding an extraordinary number of calls. We ask for your patience, as our staff are doing the best they can to answer all your calls and make alternative arrangements” Ms Hague said.

For specific information regarding an event or gathering please contact the event organiser or visit for up-to-date information as we are notified.

In some instances, some events might be live streamed, and we’ll let people know in advance if that’s how organisers are planning to proceed.

These changes are having a far-reaching impact across the event, arts, cultural and live performance industries that will, in many cases, be long term.

“We ask, where possible, that you hold onto your ticket while organisers make decisions about rescheduling, to make things smoother for our event organisers during this very difficult time.”’

DRTCC will gradually update patrons about cancelled or postponed shows, and will offer refunds or rescheduling where necessary.
