APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR COMMUNITY SERVICES FUND
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) invites community organisations to apply for a share of $45,568 Community Services Fund (CSF) remaining from an allocation of $120,000 for 2021/22. The fund aims to support projects and programs that deliver social, cultural or environmental benefits for communities throughout the greater local government area (LGA).
DRC’s Manager Community Services, Ms Christy White said these grants help groups secure a range of resources and deliver value added services for the community. “Earlier this financial year there were eight extremely worthy recipients of the Community Services Fund who have delivered wonderful programming and activity outcomes. I encourage community groups to look at potential projects and services they can have funded during the 2021/2022 round,” said Ms White.
Applications are now open and close 11 April 2022. Eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal panel and considered by Council in May 2022.
To be successful for funding, applications from organisations are rated against the following Community Services Fund key criteria:
- Deliver social, cultural or environmental benefits to the communities of the local government area.
- The project or program must address an identified community priority.
- Demonstrate the capacity to manage funds and deliver the project within 12 months.
- Demonstrate how the funding shall enable the community based organisation to deliver a service/benefit to the community.
It is a requirement to read the updated guidelines prior to submitting an application. Applications can be made through Smarty Grants online, available on Council’s website at https://www.dubbo.nsw.gov.au/Community-Groups/Grants-and-Funding/Councils-Financial-Assistance-Program/community-services-fund
