Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) is inviting community organisations to apply for a share of the $60,000 available in the first round allocation of the Community Services Fund (CSF) for 2022/2023.

A further $60,000 will become available in round two of the CSF in 2023.

The funding aims to support projects and programs that deliver social, cultural or environmental benefits for communities across the DRC Local Government Area (LGA).

DRC’s Manager Community Services Ms Christy White said these grants help groups secure a range of resources and deliver value-added services for the community.

“Earlier this financial year there were 11 extremely worthy recipients of the Community Services Fund who have delivered wonderful programming and activity outcomes,’’ she said.

“I encourage community groups to look at potential projects and services they can have funded during the first round allocation for 2022/2023,” Ms White said.

Applications opened Tuesday 13 September and close 30 September 2022. Eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal panel and considered by Council at its October 2022 meeting.

To be successful for Community Services funding, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Deliver social, cultural or environmental benefits to the communities of the DRC Local Government Area;
  • The project or program must address an identified community priority;
  • Demonstrate the capacity to manage funds and deliver the project within 12 months;
  • Demonstrate how the funding shall enable the community-based organisation to deliver a service/benefit to the community.

It is a requirement to read the updated guidelines prior to submitting an application.
