Dubbo Airport upgrades for the future

The first step of a major infrastructure project to improve the facilities at Dubbo City Regional Airport is now complete, with new runway edge lighting and a Precision Approach Path Indicator installed as part of The Runway Strengthening and Lighting Upgrade.

These upgrades, which were made possible thanks to a grant by the NSW government, were required under the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) regulations and have now been formally commissioned.

The next phase of the three-pronged capital works project will be to finalize the strengthening of the runway surface and improve ageing infrastructure so that the airport can continue to meet the aviation compliance requirements set out by CASA.
