Dubbo Regional Council is delighted to be welcoming sister city students from our Chinese sister city Wujiang in August 2018.

Wujiang has specially selected 15 fine young high school students (7 boys and 8 girls) to visit Dubbo for 5 nights from Tuesday August 7 to Sunday August 12.

Council is seeking 15 generous families to host these students (aged 14-15) for the duration of their stay. This is a perfect opportunity to expose your children to a different culture and in the past these home stay experiences have been the catalyst for Dubbo students applying for our student exchange programs in China and Japan. Learn more about our Sister City Exchange Program here.

A full schedule of activities have been planned for the visiting students and host families including: A pizza and ten pin bowling night, treasure hunt, barbeque and farewell dinner. Council also organises for the Wujiang students to spend two days touring the Zoo, Western Plains Cultural Centre Wellington Caves, as well as a day at school.

This exchange will be facilitated by Council’s Sister City Officer, Kylie Sutherland, who will be on hand 24/7 to assist host families in ensuring the Wujiang students have a fantastic visit.

If you are interested in this terrific opportunity, please contact Kylie on 0447 445 472 or email: kylie.sutherland@dubbo.nsw.gov.au for more information and to register your interest.
