Sheraton Road Quarry - Draft Planning Agreement

PUBLIC EXHIBITION OF SHERATON ROAD QUARRY - DRAFT PLANNING AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given of the public exhibition of a draft Planning Agreement for an Extractive Industry (Quarry) at Lot 211 DP 1220433, 20L Sheraton Road, Dubbo. The Extractive Industry (Quarry) development was approved pursuant to Development Application D2016-482, by the Western Joint Planning Panel on 5 July 2017.

The draft Planning Agreement has been prepared to ensure the road maintenance impacts on Sheraton Road are adequately ameliorated by the proponent of the Extractive Industry (Quarry). The draft Planning Agreement requires the proponent to provide to Council with a contribution of $0.10 per tonne of material transported from the development to offset future road maintenance costs associated with the impacts of the Extractive Industry (Quarry) development.

The draft Planning Agreement is on public display until Friday 1 June 2018. The information can be viewed during normal office hours (9 am to 5 pm) at Council's Dubbo Civic Administration Building, corner Church and Darling streets, Dubbo.

Written or electronic submissions are invited during the public exhibition period.

Please note that in accordance with the Personal Information Protections Act 1998, written submissions received by Council containing personal information may be made public when the matter goes before Council for consideration, as it may be included in Council's Business Papers. Persons have the right to remain anonymous if they so choose by refraining from submitting their personal information, however, the submission be given less weight in the overall assessment and consideration of the draft Planning Agreement.
