From Wednesday 24 February, applications are open for the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund, Round Six. Not-for-profit community groups and organisations can apply for a share in $43,000, with a maximum amount per applicant $10,000.

Only one successful application can be awarded per organisation each financial year, and the project must deliver social, cultural, economic or environmental benefits for local communities of Wellington and surrounding villages in the Dubbo Regional Local Government Area.

In addition to the Bodangora Community Benefit fund, community groups will be able to apply for a share in $15,000, under Round Two of Dubbo Regional Council’s Financial Assistance Program. To be eligible, the project or program must be undertaken in the Dubbo Region Local Government Area, and only not-for-profit organisations will be considered.

Previous recipients include charitable, health, animal wellbeing, and environmental organisations, as well as special interest groups.

Applications for both funds are open until 5pm Monday 15 March, 2021.
