FUNDING AVAILABLE FOR HERITAGE PROJECTS 2020/2021
A Local Heritage Fund has been established by Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) with the aid of a grant from the NSW Heritage Office. The purpose of the Fund is to provide grants to assist owners of heritage items with heritage conservation work. If your property is listed as a heritage item in the Dubbo Local Environmental Plan 2011 or Wellington Local Environmental Plan 2012, you are eligible to apply for a heritage grant.
Eligible works to heritage-listed properties includes repair, maintenance and reinstatement of missing elements. Examples of suitable projects could include work on the structure of the building, verandahs, roofing, wall cladding, fences, decorative detail, painting and stormwater drainage.
Level of Funding Available
Typical grants would be in the range of $2,000 or less subject to availability of funds and the nature of work proposed. Applicants will be required to at least match any grant funding with an equivalent dollar amount of their own money. Council may consider labour and/or materials provided by the applicant as part of that matched funding as an in-kind contribution.
