Old Dubbo Road Shoulder Widening
Council wishes to advise that shoulder widening works on the Old Dubbo Road has been programmed to commence on 3 May 2021. Council anticipates this project will take approximately ten (10) weeks to complete, weather permitting.
The start of the project is immediately south of the intersection with Hennessey Drive and continues for approximately 7 km, finishing approximately 400 m east of the intersection with Rocky Road.
The road work involves pavement widening, improvement of road geometry at curves and the intersection of Angle Road (near Lazy River Estate to square up with Old Dubbo Road), and bitumen sealing.
Preliminary works, including culvert extension and removal of trees, have already commenced.
There will be disruptions to traffic movements during this time, with a traffic management plan in place to ensure the safety of road users.
Council acknowledges the inconvenience these works may cause, especially to local residents. We thank you for your continued understanding during these infrastructure development works.
If you have any further concerns please contact Council’s Project Engineer, David Omokaro, on 02 6801 4836.
