YABANG GEE BRIDGE DUBBO REOPENS

The Yabang Gee (Tamworth Street) Bridge that crosses the Macquarie River in Dubbo, has reopened this afternoon following repair works that were required after the flooding events that took place last month.

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) staff have reinstalled the bridge handrails and completed a structural review to ensure the safety of the community.

In an effort to minimise the extended closure of this bridge during flooding in the future, Council will staff will make advanced decisions to close the bridge and lower the rails when a flood warning is received.

Council wishes to thank the community for its patience and understanding during these works.
