About Us

Dubbo Showground has been operating since 1876 and is one of Dubbo's treasured facilities, operated by Dubbo Regional Council. Dubbo Showground is a multi-use facility successfully hosting a range of both local and national events, home to the annual Dubbo Show and Dubbo Harness Racing.

Agricultural Events

Home of well-established annual agricultural shows and sales spanning cattle, sheep, pig and horse events; the Dubbo Showground has a variety of specially designed agricultural venues and enclosed spaces. For larger events the MacInnes and Expo Pavilions can be customised to include panels, stabling and grandstand facilities.

Our Agricultural services include:

  • Portable stabling
  • Portable grandstand seating
  • Led cattle facilities
  • Sheep panels

Entertainment Events

The Dubbo Showground has a successful history of hosting an array of entertainment events. From community shows and markets to a crowd of 18,000 for Triple J One Stand festival. Check out the main arena and our number of grassed areas for inspiration for your next event.

Our Entertainment services include:

  • Large outdoor and undercover areas
  • Multiple electricity outlets

Business Events and Expos

The Woolpack Function Centre can service conference events, dinners and award presentations for up to 200 people. If your conference comes with trade shows or a need for break out spaces the attached MacInnes and Expo Pavilions lend an extra 6000m2. Invite the community to your expo and engage local suppliers to hold food vans along Grassed Area 1.

Our Woolpack Function Centre services include:

  • Bar area

Motor Sports, Shows and Rallies

Monster trucks, motorsports, car and bike shows are a frequent calendar highlight due to the ability to sell tickets upon entry and the crowd capacity of the Main Arena. A range of sealed bitumen and grassed floor venues provide an abundance of choice for Show 'n' Shine events of all styles.

Our Motor Sports, Shows and Rally services include:

  • Main arena well lit 39000m2 grass area inside trotting track
  • Portable grandstand seating (50 seats per grandstand)
  • Parking for 400 vehicles

Camping

Camping is available only to those travelling with livestock or as part of an event.

Orana Equestrian Club
Orana Equestrian Club Inc. holds dressage training days on the first Sunday of each month from February to November at the OEC Arena with the exception of March and October. In March the OEC holds a one day official competition and in October they host their annual two day championship event.

INFORMATION ON CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

As facility owner of Dubbo Showground, Dubbo Regional Council wants to ensure the safety of our visitors, employees and community, as we work through the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) health crisis.

As the Showground continues to operate we will be increasing hygiene practices and hygiene communications across our facility as practical, and we ask for all stakeholders to support us in this process.

If you are feeling unwell or if you have been asked to self-isolate due to potential exposure to COVID-19 you are not to enter the Dubbo Showground.

Dubbo Regional Council also asks any visitors to our facilities to follow the general health precautions of social distancing, washing your hands effectively, covering any sneezes and coughs and staying at home if unwell.
