We are dedicated to actively facilitating the attraction and expansion of new investments through enterprises, events, tourism, and residents, but also nurturing the advancement of current businesses, the broadening of industries, strengthening of the workforce, and the enrichment of the region, creating a diverse economic foundation that generates local employment opportunities, and expands the region’s economic base.

Industry and Employment Opportunities

The Dubbo Regional economy supports an estimated 26,650 jobs, representing 48.6% of the 54,887 people working in Orana RDA.

Renewable Energy Zone (REZ)

The project is expected to attract up to $20 billion in private investment to the Central West Orana Region by 2030, and support 5,000 construction jobs at its peak.

The Dubbo Region will be the first operational Renewable Energy Zone in New South Wales; offering opportunities for local businesses, workforce, training and supporting infrastructure
