Information on how to apply for a liquor licence is available from the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing’s (OLGR) website.
Council has a role to play in relation to the application process.
Certain types of licences require a Community Impact Statement (CIS) to be completed by the applicant. The CIS is submitted to Council for further consideration. The types of licences this applies to are listed on the OLGR website.
All liquor licence applications should be submitted to Council so that development consent can be checked along with any community impacts. Once this has been undertaken Council can then either object or indicate to OLGR that there are no objections. The development consent section of the application can also be completed, signed and returned to OLGR by Council.
