If you are wanting to book a space for community or commercial purposes in the Dubbo Region, we have a range of spaces available. Take a look at the bookable open spaces, venues for hire or other bookable options below to get started.
BOOKABLE OPEN SPACE
Bike Lockers
Dubbo Regional Council has a number of bike lockers for hire. Lockers are assigned on a first-come basis for a period of 12 months. To apply for a bike locker, complete the Bike Locker Hire Application Form (PDF 99.7KB).
Footpaths for Community Use
Dubbo Regional Council permits use of particular footpaths for community bookings such as busking, community BBQ, displays and promotions, group performance, raffle/mobile ticket selling/fundraising, or street stall. To make a booking at one of the available locations, complete the Footpaths, Public Space and Busking Application Form (PDF 266.7KB) and return to council@dubbo.nsw.gov.au or our Dubbo or Wellington Customer Experience Centres.
Footpaths for Commercial Use
Dubbo Regional Council allows certain footpaths to be used for commercial activities, such as placing signs, setting up dining areas or displaying merchandise. To apply for approval, complete the Footpath Sign, Dining, Merchandise Application Form (PDF 2MB) and return to council@dubbo.nsw.gov.au or our Dubbo or Wellington Customer Experience Centres.
Market Activity
Market Applications are currently closed. Market owners wishing to conduct activity on public space (parks, footpaths and reserves) across the Dubbo Regional Local Government Area are able to apply using the application form below. Please refer to the terms and conditions before applying.

On-Street Car Parking
Particular on-street car parking spaces can be leased for commercial business promotion, community service or for other undertaken works.
To book an on-street car parking space please complete the On-Street Car Parking Space/s Application Form (PDF 460.5KB) and return to council@dubbo.nsw.gov.au or to our Dubbo or Wellington Customer Experience Centres.

VENUES FOR HIRE
Community Halls
Dubbo Regional Council owns a number of community halls across the Local Government Area; including Dubbo, Wongarbon, Mumbil and Wellington.
Please note, community halls are not available for long-term hire or for the purpose of private celebrations, parties or events.
To book a community hall please view Council's fees and charges at Integrated Planning and Reporting, then complete and return the booking form; Community Halls Booking Application Form.

Dubbo Regional Airport
The meeting room at the Dubbo Regional Airport is available for community to book. To enquire about booking the space, please complete the Dubbo Regional Airport Meeting Room Request for Hire (PDF 537.9KB) and return to airport@dubbo.nsw.gov.au or the Dubbo Regional Airport Administration Office.

Dubbo Regional Theatre Convention Centre
The Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre houses a 500-seat tiered theatre and 700-seat auditorium. The state-of-the-art venue boasts a comprehensive computerised sound and lighting control room, a 46-line fly tower, a box office, acoustically designed auditorium, hydraulic orchestra pit, raised stage, dressing rooms, 'green room', refreshment bar and designated seating for people with disabilities.

Dubbo Showground has a range of spaces to suit your needs, including pavilions, indoor centre with kitchen facilities, and an open air arena to name a few.

Old Dubbo Gaol
The Yard, in any Gaol was a place of exercise, a place of work, a place of muster, and for precious few moments each week a place of recreation for prisoners. At the Old Dubbo Gaol, 'The Yard' offers an event venue that easily accommodates weddings, music, markets and more.

Wellington Aerodrome and Recreation Park
The Wellington Aerodrome and Recreation Park, also known as Bodangora Airport, is owned and operated by Dubbo Regional Council.

Wellington Civic Centre
The Wellington Civic Centre features a 125 square metre stage and LED stage lighting. The full hall is approximately 720 square metres that can be divided into two thirds and one third respectively to suit the hirer's requirements.
The addition of a commercial kitchen and opportunity for bar facilities (licensing will need to be obtained) as well as dressing rooms and a large foyer with a kiosk, provides for a versatile venue.

Western Plains Cultural Centre
From formal functions, community meetings or hands on creativity Western Plains Cultural Centre have a space to suit. They offer a destination for gatherings where your guests have flexibility in how they spend their free time from the Art Gallery, Museum or surrounding parks with the modern comforts of the facility and Café. Events within the centre are unique in setting and provide an innovative and creative environment for collaboration, learning business and enjoyment.

Wedding Bookings
If you are looking to hold a wedding in one of Dubbo Regional Council's public spaces please check availability with Community, Culture and Places Executive Support Team on 02 6801 4000. Once contact has been made with the team please complete our Wedding Booking Application Form (PDF 1MB) and return to Council's Administration Building in Dubbo or Wellington to book in a wedding at the following venues with associated fees:
- Cameron Park, Victoria Park or South Lakes Park
- Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden or Toyama Osawano Japanese Garden in Wellington
