Parks and playgrounds

These tables list all Council owned parks across the Dubbo Regional Council area by location, including DubboGeurieMumbil, Stuart Town, and Wellington

 

DUBBO

There are more than 821 hectares of public parklands can be enjoyed throughout Dubbo. Council maintains the City's parks, including more than 79 ha of highly developed facilities such as Victoria Park, Wahroonga Park, Elston Park and the Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden.

Bookings

 

To book a wedding or an event at Ollie Robbins Oval, Victoria, Macquarie Lions, Sir Roden Cutler parks or the Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden please complete the booking request form.

Please note venue hire fees apply to the Dubbo Regional Botanic Garden ($226.00) and Ollie Robbins Oval (on application).

NB: Please note that all parks and gardens are a public space and therefore exclusiveness to an area is not guaranteed.

Conditions of use

We appreciate, in advance, your cooperation and understanding of the terms and conditions for using Council's parks and gardens:

  • Parks and gardens are to be used in the condition they appear.
  • Parks and garden areas are to be left clean and tidy. Any litter control required by Council will be invoiced to the user.
  • Council’s parks and gardens are an alcohol free zone between 9pm and 9am daily,  responsible consumption is required.
  • Electric barbeques are available at specific parks free of charge.
  • No access to power is available.
  • No confetti is to be used.
  • Marquees or shade shelters may only be erected if weights or pegs are no larger than 200mm in length and 5mm in width are used due to underground services.
  • Written approval from Council is required for use of marquees with large pegs, star pickets or poles and will require marking of  underground services which may incur additional charges.
  • Bikes, skateboards and unauthorised vehicles are not permitted.
  • Bridal vehicles are permitted to use the Victoria Park internal road on request through the Council booking application form, but all other vehicles are to park on the adjacent streets.
  • Vehicles required for mobility by individuals in accordance with Roads and Maritime Services standards are permitted to use the Victoria Park internal road on written request through Council.
  • For the use of jumping castles in Council parks and gardens areas the provider must have $20,000,000 Public Liability Insurance to comply and any injury or incident will be the responsibility of the user. Also no pegs or poles are to be used, only weights due to underground services.
  • Note major events are likely to run at Ollie Robbins Oval, the Dubbo Regional Botanic Gardens, Macquarie Lions, Sir Roden Cutler and Victoria parks.
  • Any damage caused as the result of a user will be invoiced.

Please note: Horse riding, vehicles, dogs and animals, bicycles, lighting of fires, practising of golf, camping and removal of shrubs and trees are prohibited in ALL parks.
