Dubbo Day Awards Nomination Form
The Dubbo Day Awards will be presented on Thursday 20 November 2025 to mark the anniversary of Dubbo’s gazettal as a Village on 23 November 1849, and to recognise volunteers who have, and will continue to be, the building blocks of the community. Volunteers who, without expectation of reward or praise, go about their lives helping others and organisations which are focussed on improving the quality of living for individuals and the community as a whole.
A selection committee comprising the Mayor and members of the Dubbo community will assess all nominations in strict confidence.
Nominations must be submitted by Monday 3 November and must meet the criteria and eligibility guidelines. Please include sufficient evidence of the nominees’ volunteer role/s to allow judges to be fully informed and to assist in the assessment process.
- Nominee must be a volunteer.
- Nominations can be made by an individual or organisation. Organisations are not permitted to nominate more than two (2) of their members in any year.
- Nominee must currently reside within Dubbo Regional Council’s boundaries, and their voluntary work must be beneficial to the Dubbo Community.
- Prior recipients of Dubbo City Council, Dubbo Regional Council Dubbo Day or Australia Day awards will not be eligible for consideration.
- Community work of a high calibre undertaken in recent years will be taken into account.
- The person should have strong ethical and community values.
- The name of at least one referee must be supplied with the nomination.
- The nomination should explain the achievements and background of the nominee and the reasons for nomination.
- The decision of the judging committee is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Only winners of the Dubbo Day Award will be announced.
- Presentation will take place on Thursday 20 November 2025.
- A maximum of 20 awards will be presented in any one year.
- Nomination forms must be returned by Monday 3 November 2025.
- All nomination forms and material submitted remains the property of Council.
