DRTCC Season loaded with more in 2024!

Comedy, dance, musicals and more is set to hit the stage for the Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) 2024 Season with 22 touring shows set to entertain right here in regional NSW.

The 2024 Season Launch was held on Sunday 26 November and showcased the upcoming shows next year including comedians Georgie Carroll and Jimeion, the Shake & Stir Theatre Company’s Fourteen, The Saturday Night Social, Bangarra Dance Theatre’s Yuldea, Colin Lane and David Hobson in Tails, Opera Australia’s Puccini’s La Boheme and loads more.

The ever popular The Wharf Revue returns with Pride in Prejudice. There’s also a number of family and youth shows including Dog Man – The Musical, Grug and The Gruffalo. The Season will conclude with an exquisite and memorable production of The Nutcracker by Ballet International Gala.

“Our 2024 Season program is sponsored by Kings Hall Jewellers and is loaded with comedy, dance, musicals, concerts and more – there’s lots of variety and something for everyone,” DRTCC Manager, Linda Christof said.

“We have taken on board patron feedback with a call for more comedy, dance and 80s music and the return of some major touring companies and the new program really reflects this feedback.”

“The Season launch featured wonderful performances from Dubbo Ballet Studio, Fantasy Dance Sport and local amateur theatre performers to promote some of the show offerings in 2024.”

The DRTCC Subscription period is from Sunday 26 November 2023 through to Monday 18 December 2023 and allows patrons to secure their preferred seat and discounted tickets. After this period all tickets go on general sale to the public. You can still subscribe the remainder of the year and throughout 2024 although seat selection may be limited on fast-selling shows.

“The DRTCC subscription is a great Christmas gift idea and gifting an experience is perfect for that person who loves live entertainment. There is such a wide variety of shows next year that there is something to suit every taste,” Ms Christof said.

To become a Season Subscriber, all you need to do is purchase a minimum of three shows from the Season booklet at the same time and you can enjoy additional benefits.  These include discounted tickets on all Season shows and on many touring shows not in the program, a free ticket to the Season Launch, ability to exchange your ticket without penalty and a 10 per cent discount on your meal at the Pastoral Hotel Restaurant and a room at Blue Gum Motel Dubbo.  There’s a newly added benefit of a 10% discount on your purchase at the theatre bar on presentation of your 2024 Subscriber card.
