Council's annual kerbside clean-up service for collection of bulky rubbish will be commencing on Monday 17 October 2022. The service will be available to residents within the 2 & 3 bin service areas of the Dubbo Regional Council Local Government Area. COLLECTION ZONES

Residences located outside Dubbo’s 50/60kph speed zone that receive a weekly wheelie bin service are in the Rural zone. The rural zone includes the estates of Richmond and Firgrove and the villages of Brocklehurst, Elong Elong, Eumungerie, Ballimore, Mogriguy and Wongarbon.

Residences located within the Dubbo built-up area (50/60kph speed zone) are in Urban Zone 1, 2, 3 or 4. To confirm which collection zone you are in, view the interactive map for detailsBulky Rubbish Collection Interactive Map.

SCHEDULED COLLECTION TIMEFRAME

Wellington, Geurie and surrounding villages - Collection in this zone is complete

You are eligible to use this service if you are within the 2 or 3 Bin Service Areas of Wellington, Geurie and the surrounding villages of Euchareena, Stuart Town, Mumbil, Dripstone, Nanima Village, Cadonia Estate, Bodangora, Ponto Falls and receive a weekly garbage service from Council.

The day you will be required to place bulky rubbish on the footpath in front of your property can be found in the following table. Please note due to the high presentation of rubbish for collection in 2021, some dates have changed from what was initially promoted. CONDITIONS OF USE, PERMITTED AND PROHIBITED ITEMS

Please note the following conditions apply:

  • Your bulky rubbish waste MUST be placed out for collection by the day indicated in the table above AND no earlier than seven (7) days before that day.

  • Any waste that is ineligible for collection or that is placed out for collection AFTER the appropriate date your zone will NOT be collected and will remain the responsibility of the resident.  

  • There is a limit of the equivalent of one level box trailer load or one (1) cubic metre (m3) of garbage per residence.

  • Whitegoods and other metal items should be placed in a separate heap for collection.

  • Green waste should be placed in a separate heap for collection, this excludes lawn clippings.

  • Remove doors from old freezers and fridges.

  • Place loose garbage in boxes or bags.

  • Household hazardous waste and liquids (such as chemicals, poisons, oil, paint and batteries) will NOT be collected.

  • Commercial properties are NOT eligible for this service.

  • Truck and tractor tyres will NOT be accepted.

  • No more than 4 passenger or light 4WD tyres will be collected per residence.

  • Rural zone: Place bulky rubbish next to where you normally position your wheelie bins for collection.

  • Urban zones: Place bulky rubbish on the footpath, making sure it does not obstruct people using the footpath.

FAQS - What if I have bulk rubbish to dispose of outside this time?
