FORUM TO STRENGTHEN RELATIONSHIPS ACROSS DEVELOPMENT INDUSTRY

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) is extending an invitation to anyone involved in the local development industry to attend the Mayoral Developers Forum on 13 September.

The forum will bring together representatives from the development industry and Council to assist improved communication of development activity in the region and continue to strengthen relationships.

The forum will include presentations from Council staff and an informal discussion session facilitated by DRC Mayor Mathew Dickerson.

“I view these forums as important events which bring members of the development industry together with Council officers to discuss matters of mutual interest and benefit,” Clr Dickerson said.

“We know that we have many people wishing to move to Dubbo but we also know that we have a housing shortage. The way to solve the housing shortage is through the engagement and involvement of all stakeholders,” continued Clr Dickerson.

The agenda for the forum is currently being prepared and will provide key updates across strategic planning activities, development data, trends and investment attraction activities in the region.

The forum is also an opportunity for Council staff and others to provide information about planning matters, legislation and future development.

The Mayoral Developers Forum will be held at the Western Plains Cultural Centre, 76 Wingewarra St on Wednesday 13 September from 5.30pm to 7pm.

Anyone interested in attending should RSVP to planning@dubbo.nsw.gov.au by 5pm, Friday 8 September.
