RESERVOIR CLEANING UNDERWAY
Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) will be undertaking reservoir cleaning and inspection as part DRC’s water maintenance program at all 32 reservoir locations in the Dubbo Local Government Area.
Reservoir cleaning will take place in July and August at sites in Dubbo, Eumungerie, Mogriguy, Ballimore, Wongarbon, Geurie, Wellington and Mumbil. During this time residents may notice water on the roads nearby some of the reservoirs which is part of the flushing and cleaning process. The maintenance work being undertaken will not impact the supply of drinking water to the Dubbo Region.
The cleaning of the reservoirs is undertaken by trained and certified contractors and ensures DRC supplies quality water supply to residents.
Programmed maintenance work is undertaken during the winter months due to the fact the water consumption is generally at its lowest level during this time.
