20 Apr 2026   SPOT LEAPS FROM PAGE TO STAGE AT DRTCC
Spot, one of the world’s most beloved dogs, is bounding into Dubbo Regional Theatre and Convention Centre (DRTCC) this May. The iconic yellow puppy will leap from the page to the stage at the DRTCC on Tuesday 5 May 2026 at 6pm, and Wednesday 6 May at 10am and 12:30pm in a lively, colourful theatrical experience.

Dubbo Regional Council is reviewing CCTV footage following the theft of a 2.5m high Carob Tree from Victoria Park earlier this month.
15 Apr 2026   OUTCOMES FROM THE APRIL 2026 STANDING COMMITTEE MEETINGS
Councillors met at 5:30pm on 14 April 2026 for the Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) Standing Committee meetings. Outcomes from the Standing Committees will be taken to the Ordinary Council meeting on 28 April 2026 for consideration and adoption, with the exception of those matters to which delegation to the committees has been appointed.

A key piece of the region’s renewable energy future has been secured with Dubbo Regional Council purchasing 93 Simpson Street, Wellington as the new home for the Renewable Energy Awareness and Career Training (REACT) Centre.
14 Apr 2026   HYDROGEN AVIATION TESTING HAPPENING AT WELLINGTON AERODROME
Liquid hydrogen will be used at the Wellington Aerodrome and Recreational Park, following approval by Dubbo Regional Council.

Applications are now open for local artists to exhibit at the 2026 Dubbo Art Fair (DAF26) held in the Western Plains Cultural Centre from 8 – 10 October 2026.
10 Apr 2026   2026 ANZAC DAY PRESENTATION TO SHED NEW LIGHT ON COWRA BREAKOUT
The Western Plains Cultural Centre (WPCC) will host local historian Lawrance Ryan this Anzac Day to deliver his presentation, More Than Just One Day: How the Breakout changed Cowra.

Dubbo Regional Council is advising residents that tree trimming will occur along Keswick Parkway, Dubbo, starting on Monday 13 April 2026.
8 Apr 2026   DUBBO REGIONAL AIRPORT CAR PARK CHANGES
Dubbo Regional Airport is experiencing an increased demand for car parking. To accommodate the increase, an overflow car park will be available with entry and exit to the overflow car park via Arthur Butler Drive.
2 Apr 2026   PROMINENT ILLUSTRATOR TO VISIT MACQUARIE REGIONAL LIBRARY
Macquarie Regional Library Dubbo branch will host prominent children’s book author and illustrator Dub Leffler in conversation with Lionel Wood on Wednesday 15 April 2026 from 5pm - 6pm.
