APHIDS AFFECTING MACQUARIE STREET IN DUBBO

Dubbo Regional Council (DRC) would like to advise the community that due to aphids attacking a large number of trees along Macquarie Street in Dubbo’s CBD, the footpaths, seats and bins in the area have been left with a sticky residue.

Council continues daily cleaning of the CBD which includes footpaths, bins and seats.

Treatment of the aphids on the trees has been undertaken this season however further treatment is being planned to minimise the effect they are having on the footpath and surrounding areas.

Council thanks the community for their patience and understanding while we work to minimise the ongoing effect of this naturally occurring event.
