SANDY BEACH RECTIFICATION WORKS

Dubbo Regional Council will be undertaking voluntary rectification works at Sandy Beach following a meeting with NSW Fisheries.

The rectification work will include the moving of sand back to its post flood condition.

This work will be undertaken in accordance with the guidelines outlined by Fisheries and is expected to be undertaken next week, subject to weather conditions.

During the works fencing will be erected along the walking path to ensure the safety of the public.

Once the works are complete council will consult further with stakeholders and community about any future works to enhance access. Applications, subject to funding, will then be formally made to recreate access to the water.

DRC apologies for any inconvenience caused.
